We have a client who purchased wood flooring from Home Depot, but because they did not have sufficient in stock, ordered more to complete the job. It was five months before it arrived - holding up completion of the job for 3 months. More recently, a client bought solid wood flooring from Home Depot that was out of fashion fifty years ago because of its fragility and limitations. They also purchased stair nosing. The flooring was time consuming/expensive to install, nosing was not for the flooring with new nosing taking 2 months. Now, the nosing is promised to arrive end of this week - 2.5 months. When selecting trades, we watch that they actually like the trade they are doing. Using similar reasoning, I recommend that when buying flooring, buy it from an establishment with flooring in its name.
